How would you like to be part of a club that proudly represents it's district? Abberton & District Cricket Club are offering new playing members a chance to try our fantastic club for absolutely free for their first year.

Abberton & District Cricket Club was formed by locals in 1947 and we have been playing at our current location since 1954. This was made possible with the generous help of local farmer, LG Evans sold the ground to the club for the princely sum of £200. Residents cleared the picturesque site to form a new outstanding privately owned home for our club otherwise known as The Brow.
We here at ADCC would like to extend our invite to you and your family to come and visit us today.

During weekends throughout the summer months we run four adult sides which cater for all standards. Saturdays see two of our club sides participate in the Two Counties Cricket League (TCL) which is spread across Essex & Suffolk. On Sundays the other two sides feature for the club. Our Sunday first team plays in the North Essex Cricket League (NECL) and we run a development side within the TCL Cup known as Div "C". The aim of this development side is to help youth players adjust into senior cricket whilst giving senior players who don't often have time to commit a chance to play competitive cricket at a decent level.

Junior (colts) Cricket runs from May to August where our colts feature in the North Essex League and Kwik Cricket Tournaments throughout Essex & Suffolk. From four up until ten years old children can participate in Kwik Cricket. For safety reasons equipment is made from high quality moulded plastic, light enough for small hands yet extremely tough and durable. The kit is designed as an alternative to traditional equipment, allowing the game to be played safely for younger members. Hard ball cricket starts from age ten when youth members are separated into different age groups and start to play against other clubs using traditional cricket equipment. Training takes place on Friday evenings where coaches offer their experience to aid development of the younger members. All coaches are qualified by the ECB and are thoroughly DBS checked. The club offers parents the opportunity to socialise within our clubhouse where our bar is open serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Weather permitting the club also offers BBQ food during and after training for both adults and children.

We offer numerous membership packages so suit all, if playing cricket isn't really your thing then but you would like to be part of our club then associate / family membership is the package for you. You'll recieve updates on how the club teams are performing during the season and also regarding any social events that will be taking place at the clubhouse or else where.
