Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned player, you’ll find a warm welcome awaits you at The Brow. We are lucky to enjoy excellent facilities supported by wide range of fixtures and welcome current players or someone who would like to re-start after a break in the game.

We play competitive league cricket both teams on a Saturday and a mixture of cricket on Sundays. We are proud to say that our players’ ages range from young teenagers to a few in their 50s, 60s and even 70's. Adult playing membership for 2022 is £120.

NEW MEMBERS joining in 2022 will be offered free playing subscription until the AGM which will be held in January 2023.

Student & Unemployed Playing Membership

Student members and 1st Year Apprentices enjoy special rates if they are continuing in full time further education. Members who find themselves out of work can also join at a discounted rate.

Unlike many clubs we don't cap the amount of games that one can play when holding this type of membership, and you will still be able to enjoy all of our social events.

Junior Membership (Under 18's)

Kwik Cricket tournament hosted at The Brow 2015 - Abberton & District Cricket Club

Our junior section runs training sessions for young players from the ages of 5 to 16 on a Friday evening throughout the summer. Our youngest members participate in Kwik Cricket which is with a soft ball and a plastic bat, whilst the older colts train with traditional playing equiptment. We play all youth games under Essex Junior Leagues and these are normally held during the week.

Parents or guardians of junior members (Colts) can also enjoy the social benefits of the club and many of the junior members fathers have found themselves returning to the game by joining our senior teams.

Junior member fees are as followed -

Kwik Cricket & Colts upto the age of 15
Yearly membership is £20 and there is a small £4 fee for training. Match Fees are £3.
Colts aged between 15 and 18
Yearly membership is £40 and there is no fee for training. Match Fees are £6.

*Clarification was made about the age brackets for Colts/Kwik Cricket and older Colts at this years AGM. It was agreed it would be their age attained at the beginning of January.
